Talent Program
What is the Talent Program?
The Talent Program is more than learning the mmsFocus method.
It is an opportunity we offer to a small number of talented and dedicated people who feel drawn to helping others find greater focus, calm, energy, and wellbeing in everyday life.
Selected participants are invited into an intensive three-week training and development journey where they receive in-depth training in the mmsFocus method, practical experience, mentoring and close support from our team.
Participants become part of a growing community of like-minded people, gain access to inmu® devices for training and practice, and receive ongoing guidance as they explore how mmsFocus can become part of their future work and life.
The program is offered as an investment in people we believe have the motivation and potential to help bring the method to more people and communities.
Why are we doing this?
One of the biggest challanges we have as humans living in the moden world is too much noise and disturbance. It makes it increasingly difficult for to stay focused and is causing physical and mental stress.
We are fascinated by how music can change the way we feel, how awareness of movement can strengthen our connection to the body, brain and mind, and how sensing and sensory awareness can deepen our presence in the world.
As the creators of inmu®, we are driven by the potential that a conscious use of music, movement and sensing holds for deepening our awareness of ourselves, our surroundings and the way we connect to other people.
Through the mmsFocus method, we hope to increase awareness of these possibilities and make them accessible to more people. We want to create new opportunities for focus, wellbeing and communication.
Our motivation for offering the Talent Program is to create opportunities for more people to experience, share and pass on something meaningful and beautiful.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference in the lives of others. People who are fascinated by the potential that exists within each of us.
You may be at a point in your life where you are ready for something new. Perhaps you are looking for a more meaningful path in life. Or mmsFocus simply resonates with you because it brings together what you have been drawn to and experienced for many years.
You have a natural awareness of your body and are comfortable expressing yourself through movement. You are used to stepping into the spotlight, guiding others and creating a space where people feel safe, comfortable and supported.
You are open-minded, curious and willing to learn. You take initiative, see possibilities and not barriers, and are excited by the opportunity to create something meaningful.
You are thrilled by the possibility of working with a method that uses music, movement and sensing as a more accessible and engaging way into focus, calm and self-awareness.
You are curious about what helps people thrive. You have an interest in the body, the brain, the nervous system, the sensory system and human behaviour. You may already have professional experience or training in one or more of these areas.
You may have experience as a teacher, coach, therapist, artist, performer, wellness practitioner, healthcare professional, entrepreneur, community organiser or in another role where you have worked closely with people.
As mmsFocus is not a therapy or treatment, your primary focus as a mmsFocus instructor is improving each persons ability to create focus. A professional background in therapy or healthcare can be valuable, but it is neither a requirement nor the primary reason we select participants for the Talent Program.
Perhaps you have met people who struggle with meditation, mindfulness or other traditional practices — not because they do not need them, but because they find them difficult to relate to, too abstract, too passive, or simply not aligned with who they are.
You have the ambition and possibly already the opportunity to actively work with mmsFocus after the training. You may already be working full-time within wellbeing or you may be at a point in your life where you are ready to make this a larger part of your future. We invest in people who genuinely want to make mmsFocus part of their work and life.
You feel excited by the opportunity to introduce mmsFocus to new people, communities and settings – and make mmsFocus grow.
How do you work as a mmsFocus instructor?
As a mmsFocus instructor, you can work with both groups and individuals. You can offer regular weekly sessions, shorter courses, events, workplace sessions or individual sessions adapted to specific needs.
One of the strengths of mmsFocus is that it can be brought to people where they are. You can work in a calm room, in a workplace, in a local community, outdoors, or wherever people gather or wants to share a special experience. Participants do not need special clothing, previous knowledge or a particular level of physical ability.
The inmu® plays a central role. It gives participants something concrete to hold, sense and move with. The interactive music, gentle vibrations and soft physical form create a clear focus point and make the method accessible to a wide range of people. As an instructor, you simply bring your set of inmus and share them with the participants during the session.
As an instructor, your role is to create a safe and structured space. Through your guidance, participants move, breathe, listen and sense in a way that helps them become more aware of themselves, their body and the space around them.
How do you learn mmsFocus?
The training is centered around your own experience of the method. Before learning how to guide others, you learn to experience mmsFocus deeply in your own body and mind.
You work with the core elements of the method until you truly understand and experience them yourself. This embodied understanding becomes the foundation for sharing the same experience with others.
Throughout the training, you work closely with the other participants. You guide each other, observe each other and learn from each other’s experiences and reflections.
As you become familiar with the elements of the method, you are gradually introduced to the theory behind them. You learn how the nervous system and sensory system respond to stimulation, how body and brain influence each other, and how music, movement and sensing can support focus, calm, energy and balance.
Exercises are developed layer by layer, allowing the sensory system, nervous system and body-brain connection to follow and integrate the experiences.
Learning mmsFocus is much like learning to play a musical instrument or mastering a new form of dance. Understanding the principles is one thing. Developing the confidence, presence and embodied understanding needed to guide others takes time, practice and reflection.
To create the experience we seek in a mmsFocus session, it is important to guide with calm, confidence and presence. The quality of a session depends largely on how you move, use your body language and hold the space as a guide.
Selection process
The Talent Program is designed for a small number of participants, and we therefore take time to get to know each applicant before making our final selection.
Step 1 – Tell us about yourself
Fill in the form below to let us know that you are interested in the Talent Program.
Tell us a little about yourself, your background and why you are interested in mmsFocus. We would also love to hear how you imagine using mmsFocus and how you might contribute to bringing the method to new people, communities and settings.
Step 2 – Information meeting and mmsFocus experience
Selected applicants will be invited to an information meeting at our training centre in Juelsminde, Denmark. Here, you will experience a full guided mmsFocus session, learn more about the Talent Program and explore what a future as a mmsFocus instructor could look like. You will also meet the team and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Step 3 – Final selection
After the information meeting, we select the participants for the next Talent Program.
Program structure
The Talent Program combines immersive in-person training, practical experience and ongoing mentoring over an extended period of time.
The journey begins with a three-week residential training period in Juelsminde, Denmark.
During these three weeks, you work closely with the other participants and the mmsFocus team. Every morning begins with a guided mmsFocus session. The rest of the day is typically divided between practical training in the method, theory, guide practice, reflection, group work, and mentoring related to each participant’s future work as an instructor.
Because mmsFocus works closely with the sensory system and nervous system, we move forward slowly, and repetition plays a central role in the learning process.
Training days usually run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays.
Accommodation is available for participants travelling from a distance. As capacity is limited, accommodation is offered based on individual needs and circumstances.
Following the residential training period, participants continue their learning through online mentoring, supervision and by guiding their own mmsFocus sessions.
The initial three-week training period provides the basic elements and training of the method. The Talent Program therefore also includes follow-up in-person modules in Juelsminde, where participants deepen their understanding of mmsFocus, share experiences from practice and continue their development as instructors.
